Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda 

Kyaikhtiyo pagoda is located in the small town called Kyaikhto, in the Mon State. This destination is 160km away from Yangon. The pagoda is 1100km above sea-level. It is a 11 kilometer uphill climb for the hikers from Kinpun base camp. There is also a steep winding road for 4-wheel drive cars from the base to the nearest point of the pagodas. The pagoda is also known as "the golden rock". It is built on a huge, almost egg- shaped, rounded granitoid boulder perched on the very summit of a projecting and shelving tabular rock, which in itself is separated several feet from the mountain by a rent or chasm, now spanned by a small foot bridge of iron and on the further side drops perpendicularly into a valley blow. 

Pindaya

Pindaya is a small quiet town perched on the bank of the placid Botoloke Lake. The Pindaya cave, containing thousands of Buddha images, is the main destination in this region. Pindaya cave is a huge cavern where hundreds and thousands of Buddha images in various size and shape are installed since the 11th century. The winding galleries and nooks and corners are ideal places of insight meditation since the olden days.

Taunggyi

Taunggyi is situated in the southern Shan State and is the capital town of Shan States. It is 4,712feet above the sea level and has a moderate climate. Also located about 500 kilometers north of Yangon and about 10 kilometers southeast of Mandalay. As Taunggyi lies on a hill region, the atmosphere is conducive to good health especially by means of the salubrious mountain air.

Air-Balloon Festival

In Taunggyi, the people celebrate the Tazaungdine festival with Kahtein (offering of monk robes) as well as the releasing up fire-balloons into the sky. Balloons in the shape of elephant, ox, horse, water-buffalo, bird, pig, fish, owl and parrot are released. The Taunggyi festival is the biggest festival in the country. 

  Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle is an area of around 350,000 square kilometers that overlaps the mountains of three countries of Southeast Asia: Myanmar, Laos and Thailand. The Golden Triangle designates the confluence of the Sop Ruak River and the Mekong river, since the term has been appropriated by the region tourist industry to describe the nearby junction of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. The Mekong is one of the world's major rivers. It is the 10th longest in the world, and the 10th largest by volume. Its estimated length is 4,909 km. It drains from Tibet and it runs through China's Yunnan province, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Doi Chaang Coffee is cultivated and processed in the high mountain of the Chiang Rai province of Northern Thailand inside the Golden Triangle. The Thai area of the former triangle is full of small quiet villages where the most exciting thing that happens is the arrival of the next tour bus. The area is full of beautiful natural scenery and ancient temples, so it isn't like its not worth a visit.

Mawlamyine  - Mon State

Mawlamyine (or Moulmein )is the capital of the Mon State in the Union of Myanmar. It has a population of about 240,000. Mawlamyine is an ancient Mon town. The name according to the legend comes from Mot-Mua-Lum, meaning "one eye destroyed" . In this legend an ancient king had three eyes, the third eye in the centre of the fore-head having the power of seeing what was going on in surrounding kingdoms. The King of a neighboring country gave his daughter in marriage to the three-eyed king, and this queen was eventually able to destroy the all-seeing third eye. Mawlamyine is now being transformed into a modern city with many new public and private buildings coming up.

Myitkyina - Kachin State

Myitkyina is the capital and centrally located in the Kachin State. It is the northern most railway terminal, 919 miles from Yangon and 487 miles from Mandalay. Visitors can tour the Myit Sone, the confluence of Maikha and Malikha Streams. Ayeyarwady, the most useful river in Myanmar has its source from this confluence and flows 1325 miles to the mouth of the river. The panoramic view of the scenario at Myit Sone with the unspoiled beauty of nature is beyond the expression of words and will definitely be a fine attraction to tourists. The overland trade route to India and China and World War II supply line to China along the Ledo Road pass through Myitkyina. For mountaineering enthusiasts, expeditions to Mount Khaka Bo Razi and Mount Gam Lan Razi would be an adventure. 

Loikaw - Kayah State

Loikaw, the capital of Kayah state, just one hour's flight from Yangon, but it may take much longer by road. As everyone may know well by now, Myanmar abounds with pagodas, temples, stupas, caves, verily sacred landmarks of Buddhism the predominant faith of the majority of the populace. In as much as these revered landmarks are places of worship, they also provide interesting insights into Myanmar's long history, its culture, art and architecture, literature and contemporary scenes of its long past.

Kawthaung - Tanintharyi Division

Kawthaung, the southern most town in Myanmar (800 km from Yangon and 2,000 km from the country's most northern tip), formerly known as Victoria Point, is one of the entry ports into Myanmar and is only separated from Thailand by a broad estuary in the Pakchan River. Across the river is the border town of Ranong, Thailand.

Mogok

This city is known as Germs city. Myanmar rubies, sapphires, and emeralds and other precious stones are minded in Mogok area. Only packaged tours are allowed to visit Mogok with special prior permission.

Eco-Tourism Sites

Some of the most well known ecotourism sites are Alaungdaw kathapa National park, Popa Mountain Park, Hlawga Wildlife Park, Shwesettaw Wildlife Sanctuary, Inlay Birds’ Sanctuary. Moyingyi Wetlands and Sein Ye Forest Camp.
